Simon is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of ActiveStandards.
As CEO, Simon is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, and also has a client-facing role across a number of our major accounts.
Before founding ActiveStandards, Simon was a research scientist, completing a PhD in biochemistry at Imperial College London. Reflecting his origins, Simon continues to stay very close to the product development process, which defines the innovative heart of ActiveStandards.
Nicola is Head of Standards Services at ActiveStandards, where she leads the product development program.
She has advised a wide range of blue-chip clients on their website standards and governance strategy, including: Unilever, Bupa, Rolls-Royce, Canon Europe and Standard Life. She was also a key contributor to PAS 124, the industry best practice specification for: "Defining, implementing and managing website standards".
Nicola has a degree in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College. Her art background is reflected in her longstanding passion for interface and information design.
Dan is Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the development and operations of our platform and client applications. He joined ActiveStandards in 2003.
He has over twenty years' industry experience, focusing exclusively on internet technologies. Dan also heads up our innovative R&D program, including our pioneering Semantic Web development.
Dan holds a BSc from the National University of Ireland and an MSc from London South Bank University.
David leads our operations team, with overall responsibility for managing our SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) infrastructure
David has a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University, is PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified, and previously spent eight years with AEA Technology, working in pharmaceutical development and production.
Tom leads the business development team at ActiveStandards. He has 5 years' experience of developing successful long-term working relationships with our UK and European clients, and has a deep understanding of website standards and their commercial and operational application.
Tom has an MSc in Computing from the University of Essex.
Robert is responsible for all aspects of our client support operation, and has over nine years' experience of delivering complex managed services to major corporations. He is responsible for working with clients to define requirements, and for ensuring that projects get delivered on time and on budget.
Robert has a Master's degree in Geophysics from Munich University and is PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified.
