FM is a core competence of the ActivePlan
team and we have focused on ease of implementation so
dynamic links to existing applications such as planned
maintenance and helpdesk are maintained, easing the
task of implementation and ongoing operation considerably.
Each user is delivered a personalised view that reflects
their preferences, role and/or security access, improving
the clarity and decision-making. Those with appropriate
rights are able to move furniture from one room to another
in the floor plan and see all related databases and
reports updated dynamically. Tracking movement of expensive
assets has the potential to reduce the number of vital
pieces of equipment purchased – yet ensuring quality
of service is not compromised.
Because it is rules-based and can contain the operational
requirements of a functional area, the effective performance
of a design can be measured and also fed back into the
design of future projects to inform the Brief and provide
a true means of measuring value.
