ActiveStandards acquires WelchmanPierpoint

London – January 28, 2014 – ActiveStandards, the leading Digital Quality Management platform, announced today that it has acquired WelchmanPierpoint, the leading consultancy in enterprise digital governance.

Lisa Welchman, Founding Partner, will join ActiveStandards to head the new professional services division as President of Enterprise Digital Governance Solutions. The new division will help companies accelerate their digital programs through the implementation of effective governance frameworks.

“We have had a successful partnership with WelchmanPierpoint for several years, and today’s announcement provides a natural extension of that relationship” said Simon Lande, CEO and Founder of ActiveStandards. “Together, we can provide a completely holistic digital governance offering to enterprises aiming to optimize the management of complex, multi-stakeholder digital operations. Lisa Welchman is recognized as a global thought leader in digital strategy and governance, and we are delighted to welcome her on board.”

“This is a natural partnership,” Lisa Welchman says. “For several years we have been leveraging the ActiveStandards platform to enhance our consulting practice. Organizations worldwide suffer from digital quality and compliance concerns which stem from ineffective governance including ill-defined human and fiscal resource management practices, and a lack of clear authority for digital strategy. The combined skills and technologies of ActiveStandards and WelchmanPierpoint will enable us to work with clients to address the entire enterprise digital governance challenge.

Alan Pelz-Sharpe, Research Director at analyst firm 451 Research says that “Digital and Information Governance is a rapidly growing area of concern for businesses, so in that regard combining the operational expertise and strategic governance frameworks of ActiveStandards and WelchmanPierpoint appears to make good sense.”
